WABC 2007 is nearly upon us! The International Education Courses begin on Thursday the 4th of October!

The WABC 2007 commences with Registration at 8:00 am on Saturday the 6th of October at Te Papa.

Gill Connell - Keynote Presentation

Gill Connell will make a Keynote Presentation, she is a primary trained teacher and extensively experienced in early childhood. She has been involved in education in New Zealand for almost 30 years.

Gill is presently working as a consultant for her own company – Moving Smart. Her primary focus is based on training early childhood and primary teachers along with educating parents and caregivers about the importance of movement and learning. She is the New Zealand teacher trainer for Perceptual Motor Programming – a movement programme many schools in New Zealand are implementing.

Gill was a member of the Active Movement Reference committee and co wrote the Active Movement brochures – a resource designed to create an awareness of the importance of movement in early childhood published by SPARC (Sport and Recreation New Zealand).

She is also the co author of the popular book “Moving To Learn” which is a practical manual for parents, teachers and caregivers giving reasons why and how to promote movement in children from 0-3. It contains a CD of original action based music. She is currently writing her next book due for publication shortly.
