World Aquatic Babies Congress 2007

Kia Ora!

The World Aquatic Babies Congress 2007 was an astounding success!

Once again the gathering of such a passionate collective provided the platform for an inspirational conference where new information was presented along with a widening of the audience and presenters beyond the traditional aquatics field.

Three days of an action packed programme, social opportunities and most notably a massive party to finish will remain as memories for a long while yet.

A special thank you also to the presenters who prepared such specific and ‘new’ information – the feedback forms indicate an overwhelming level of satisfaction with the conference content.

I would like to pay special thanks to the Sponsors of WABC 2007 – SPARC and SFRITO along with all of the Trade Display operators – Spank, Imse Vimse, Swim Australia, NZSCAT, Kaboodle Bags, Computerise and Dolphin Swimwear.

Future Events

You will probably be aware of the announcement made for the 2009 conference. Sharon Crowley from Canada has taken on the leadership for this. The 2009 event will be held in Vancouver. Sharon has the full support of organisations such as The US Swim Schools Association, the Swim For Life Foundation, AUSTSWIM and Water Safety New Zealand. We are certain most international organisations will support the momentum developed in Wellington at WABC 2007. Sharon will be in touch soon to inform you of developments for the 2009 gathering.

I know a lot of you will be disappointed with the weather you experienced, but here in New Zealand we script that… it was no coincidence that most of you arrived and departed with beautiful sunshine and calm winds to remind you of the wonderful time you had in Wellington.

From the organising committee of WABC 2007 we thank you for being part of a tremendously successful event and look forward to meeting you again at future events!

Kind regards
Matt
