Kia ora
The eagerly
anticipated WABC Programme will be released soon
and we apologize for the delay. We are currently
addressing the on-line registration process
which should be available within the fortnight.
At this time
we are pleased to announce the following
additions to the WABC Programme:
Swim For Life® Challenge
Swim For Life®
is the most significant learn to swim and
survive initiative in over 50 years in New
Zealand. It is not an event or a programme, but
a marketing initiative aimed at ensuring young
New Zealanders learn and develop swim and
survival skills.
The purpose
of Swim For Life®:
Every New Zealand child by the age of 12 will be
able to swim 200m confidently and competently
with associated survival skills and understand
the key water safety messages
The objective
of Swim For Life®
is to raise awareness of learning to swim and
survive. This objective recognises that the
ability to swim and survive impacts upon all
aquatic activity and is therefore fundamental in
increasing water confidence levels in, on and
under the water, and the prevention of
drownings.
WABC
delegates will have a unique opportunity to
participate in a Swim For Life®
event to raise awareness of learning to swim and
survive.
